We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified Teacher of Design & Technology to join a high-achieving independent girls’ school in North West London. This is a maternity cover position, available on a full-time or 0.8 (4 days per week) basis
About the role
The successful candidate will teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3–5, inspiring creative and ambitious students who are passionate about innovation and design.
You will be joining a dynamic and well-resourced Design & Engineering department, with excellent facilities including 3D printers, laser cutters, digital cutting equipment, and specialist studios for product design and textiles.
We welcome applications from experienced teachers and early career teachers alike. Experience teaching Art, Fashion, or Textiles is desirable but not essential. Candidates with Health & Safety certification for workshop machinery will be at an advantage (training can be provided if required).

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Design Technology Teacher you will:
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- Strong subject knowledge across Design & Technology at KS3–KS5
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Confidence in using ICT and design software to enhance learning
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Suitable teaching experience
