Smart Teachers are recruiting on behalf of a thriving secondary school in East London seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Product Design / Resistant Materials Teacher to join their successful Design & Technology department from September 2026
About the role
The successful candidate will teach Product Design and Resistant Materials across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons that inspire students to develop their creativity, technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. You will join a collaborative department that values innovation, high-quality teaching and excellent outcomes for all learners.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of DT Teacher you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Product Design and/or Resistant Materials at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and strong subject knowledge
- Be committed to raising attainment and supporting students of all abilities
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
