Smart Teachers are working in partnership with a highly successful secondary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit a motivated and passionate Science Teacher for a part-time (0.4 FTE) / 17 hours per week position starting in September 2026.
About the role
The successful Science Teacher will:
- Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Deliver engaging and practical lessons that develop students' curiosity and understanding of scientific concepts.
- Plan, assess and adapt learning to ensure all students make excellent progress.
- Work collaboratively with an experienced and supportive Science department.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and student engagement

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Science Teacher you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4
- A specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics is welcomed
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire young people
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
