Your Role
As a KS3 Teacher in this SEN setting, you will:
- Foster positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes engagement, confidence, and enjoyment of learning
- Play an active role in each student's progression, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic development

About the school
This large SEN school serves students aged 3 to 19, with an enrolment of 315 students across five learning communities or "villages." The school caters to children with a range of complex needs, including cognitive and learning difficulties. The curriculum is designed as a progression model, personalized for each student to support their development and help them achieve their individual goals.
The school fosters an inclusive and engaging atmosphere where students are encouraged to actively participate in all aspects of learning and life. With small class sizes (typically 5-8 students, sometimes smaller), and each student receiving 1:1 support from a dedicated teaching assistant through their Educational Health Care Plan, the focus is on providing tailored education pathways that promote confidence, life skills, and a love for learning.

To be considered for the role of KS1 SEND Teacher you will:
- Experience teaching within a SEND setting
