A highly supportive and inclusive primary school is seeking two dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their specialised EYFS Rainbow Room from September 2026 for the full academic year.

SEN Teaching Assistants – EYFS Rainbow Room
2 Positions Available | Full-Time | Long-Term
Start Date: September 2026
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support children within the school’s EYFS Rainbow Room, working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with complex additional needs. The role will involve supporting communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and early learning development through structured routines and personalised strategies.
The school is looking for compassionate and resilient individuals who are patient, proactive, and passionate about supporting children with SEN.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with high SEN needs within the EYFS Rainbow Room
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting with communication and sensory-based activities
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists where required
- Helping create a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Wembley you will:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN
- Experience working within a primary school or EYFS setting
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
