Smart Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Classics Teacher to join a leading independent girls’ school in South East London
About the role

Delivering high-quality lessons in Classics across Key Stages 3–5 (Latin, Classical Civilisation and/or Ancient History as applicable).

Planning and preparing engaging lessons aligned to departmental schemes of work.

Assessing, tracking and supporting students’ progress.

Maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Classics Teacher you will:
- Strong subject knowledge in Classics and related disciplines.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching at least one classical subject to A Level
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
