General Cover Teacher – Bromley

Smart Teachers are currently recruiting for a General Cover Teacher with QTS to work across schools in Bromley and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an adaptable and confident teacher looking for flexible supply work, with opportunities available from September 2026.

About the role

As a General Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across all key stages, ensuring students remain engaged and positive behaviour is maintained throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across all key stages.
• Supervise and support students across different subjects.
• Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Adapt confidently to different year groups and school environments.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Provide feedback to relevant staff where required.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of General Cover Teacher – Bromley you will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within a school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to deliver pre-planned lessons effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
