A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.
About the role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, either within the classroom, in small groups, or on a one-to-one basis. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored strategies that support learning, behaviour, and emotional development.
This role requires a patient, adaptable, and proactive individual who is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting pupils with SEN within the classroom or on a 1:1 basis

Assisting with personalised learning plans and interventions

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Supporting pupils’ academic and social development

Working closely with teachers, SENCo, and support staff

Following safeguarding policies and school procedures

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A relevant degree or previous school-based experience
- Relevant personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs is welcome
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Years of previous school-based experience
