We are currently recruiting for a confident and motivated Trainee Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Belvedere (near Erith), Bexley. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience and take their first step into a career in education.
About the role
As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and complete the work set.
You will be provided with lesson materials and support from experienced staff, making this an ideal role for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with experience working with young people in any setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising classes across a range of subjects
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson content
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Supporting students to stay focused and on task
- Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Trainee Cover Supervisor – Belvedere you will:

- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A genuine interest in working with young people
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g. coaching, tutoring, youth work) is desirable but not essential
