Trainee Cover Supervisor

About the role

As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you will step into classrooms to supervise students in the absence of a teacher, ensuring that pre-set work is completed and maintaining a positive learning environment.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with transferable skills such as coaching, mentoring, or youth work. Full guidance and support will be provided to help you build confidence and succeed in the role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons to students across a range of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensuring students remain on task and engaged
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons

Requirements
