Smart Teachers are working in partnership with a high-achieving independent school in North London to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join their department from April 2026.
About the role
The successful candidate will:

Teach Art across KS3, KS4, and KS5 to highly motivated students.

Deliver engaging lessons that encourage creativity, experimentation, and independent thinking.

Contribute to a thriving and collaborative Art department.

Support students in developing strong portfolios and preparing for GCSE and A-level examinations.

Participate in exhibitions, enrichment activities, and the wider life of the school.

The Art department is well-established and provides students with opportunities to explore a range of disciplines including drawing, painting, mixed media, and photography.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Art Teacher you will:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (or significant teaching experience).
- Has experience teaching Art across KS3–KS5
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education
- Can inspire and challenge students of varying abilities
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
