A Primary School in Barking are looking to recruit for a Early Career Teacher (ECT) to start on a full-time contract in September 2024.
About the role
The school aims to enable all children to reach their full potential using an exciting curriculum that both inspires and challenges them. The curriculum is broad and provides plenty of opportunities for in-depth exploration of topics. The school is located right by Barking Riverside Station and is not far from Barking Station. It is a successful three-form entry school and has extensive grounds which allow for many opportunities for outdoor learning.The school is a Catholic School with a loving Christian community who understand the contribution of not just the school but the home and parish in ensuring their children receive a high standard of education. The school has strong links with their parish that provides rich opportunities for both the church and school, contributing to a strong sense of community. The school is part of a collaboration with two other local catholic schools and uses the partnership to strengthen teaching and learning and enhance the educational experience for all students.
The school environment is warm and welcoming with pupils highly motivated to engage in learning. Relationships with pupils are very good, with staff creating a positive and inviting learning environment that leads to students really applying themselves to their work. Requirements
To be considered for the role of Early Career Teacher (ECT) you will:
- Have knowledge of and experience in applying curriculum for excellence principles and purposes.
- Have the ability to provide a broad, rich and relevant curriculum including interdisciplinary learning.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
