Supply Teacher

SMART Teachers is recruiting passionate and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a variety of excellent primary schools in Kensington & Chelsea from September 2026.

About the role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will teach across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preferences. Assignments can range from one-day bookings to long-term class teaching positions, allowing you to choose the level of flexibility that suits your lifestyle.

You'll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, maintaining excellent classroom behaviour, and ensuring pupils continue to make progress while their regular teacher is absent.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum
• Teach across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 where required
• Follow school planning or prepare lessons for longer-term roles
• Maintain excellent behaviour management and high expectations
• Assess learning and provide feedback where appropriate
• Adapt confidently to different classrooms and school environments
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Supply Teacher you will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching within UK primary schools
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Excellent behaviour management and classroom practice
• Flexible, reliable, and confident adapting to new environments

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
