Smart Teachers are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work at a Primary school in Barking to work with students with learning difficulties, some of whom also have an diagnosis of autism.
About the role
As a Teaching Assistant …
*You will be supporting children with learning difficulties working in partnership with the class teacher to make sure that the children's need are met.
*You will be ensuring that children's care is maintained.
*You will be supporting students with EHC Plans
*You will be assisting the class teacher with preparing resources for the class.

This is a tightly knit, OFSTED rated "Good" school, with a strong commitment to ensuring that all children are given the education they deserve The school is a short walk from Barking station station.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:
- Experience of working with students with learning difficulties and autism needs, or willing to
- Level 2 certificate in Special Educaiton Needs
- PECS and MAKATON training is highly desirable
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Previous experience working with children, young people, and vulnerable adults
