We are seeking a committed and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream two-form entry primary school in Hillingdon on a full-time basis.
About the role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to an individual pupil with special educational needs, working closely with the class teacher and SENCo. You will help the pupil access the curriculum, manage learning and behaviour, and develop confidence, independence, and social skills throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities

Providing consistent one-to-one support for a pupil with SEN

Supporting learning activities in line with individual support plans or EHCPs

Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development

Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCo, and support staff

Monitoring progress and providing regular feedback to teaching staff

Adhering to safeguarding policies and school procedures

Requirements
To be considered for the role of 1:1 SEN TA you will:
- Previous experience working as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (required)
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a mainstream primary setting
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Previous school-based experience
- Right to work in the UK
