We are looking for experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to provide both short-term supply cover and longer-term placements across primary schools in Westminster. This is an excellent chance to make a real difference in pupils’ learning while working in supportive and varied school environments.
About the role
Lead lessons in the absence of the class teacher across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
Support small groups or individual pupils to achieve learning objectives
Adapt and deliver planned lessons to meet pupils’ needs and abilities
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment
Assist with assessment and provide feedback on pupil progress
Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and school leaders
Support pupils with SEND, EAL, and other additional needs

Requirements
To be considered for the role of HLTA you will:
- Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience
- Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

Key responsibilities
As HLTA you will be responsible for:
- Lead whole-class teaching, small group, or 1:1 sessions as required
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
