Design Technology Teacher

Smart Teachers is working in partnership with a forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in Waltham Forest to recruit a skilled Design & Technology Teacher for a supply position. This is a fantastic opportunity for a DT specialist seeking flexible work within a well-resourced and supportive department.

About the role

• Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4

• Specialisms considered: Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, Engineering or Food Technology

• Delivering practical and theory-based lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained in workshops

• Planning and marking responsibilities depending on the length of booking

• Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Design Technology Teacher you will:

• Holds QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Specialism in Design & Technology
• Recent experience teaching DT in UK secondary schools
• Confident managing practical classroom environments

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Suitable teaching experience
