English Teacher

Smart Teachers is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Waltham Forest to recruit a dedicated English Teacher for a supply position. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified English specialist seeking flexible work within a supportive department.

About the role

• Teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available for suitable candidates)

• Delivering engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum

• Planning and marking responsibilities dependent on the length of booking

• Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies

• Supporting students of varying abilities, including EAL learners

Requirements

To be considered for the role of English Teacher you will:

• Holds QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Specialism in English Language and/or Literature
• Recent experience teaching in UK secondary schools
• Strong classroom management skills
• Flexible, reliable, and adaptable approach

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
