We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Harrow on a full-time basis from February 2026.
About the role
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and structured lessons in line with the national curriculum. You will support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring high expectations while maintaining a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. You will work closely with parallel class teachers and support staff as part of a collaborative year group team.
Key Responsibilities

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the Year 1 curriculum

Supporting pupils’ transition from EYFS to Key Stage 1

Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress

Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements
To be considered for the role of KS1 Teacher you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (required)
- Experience teaching in EYFS or KS1, ideally Year 1
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- A nurturing yet structured approach to teaching
- Commitment to a full-time role from February 2026
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- QTS
- DBS on the update service
- Right to work in the UK
