We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Ealing.

About the role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide focused one-to-one support for an individual pupil with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and engage positively in learning. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement personalised strategies, support learning and behaviour, and promote the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing consistent one-to-one support for a pupil with SEN

  • Supporting learning activities in line with individual support plans or EHCPs

  • Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development

  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support staff

  • Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff

  • Following safeguarding procedures and school policies

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Prior experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Experience providing one-to-one support in a primary school setting

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • DBS on the update service
  • Years of school-based experience
