Smart Teachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a highly supportive and inclusive secondary school in East London from September.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist provision supporting pupils with complex communication and sensory needs, including pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a highly personalised curriculum designed to meet the individual needs of learners who are working at Key Stage 1 level or below.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEND Teacher you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Have experience supporting early language acquisition, including working with non-verbal pupils
- Demonstrate knowledge or experience of speech and language interventions, including Colourful Semantics and the use of Core Boards Have experience developing and delivering sensory-based learning opportunities
- Be confident adapting learning for pupils working at Key Stage 1 level or below
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
