We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Hillingdon.
About the role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support to an individual pupil with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and engage positively with learning. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement personalised strategies, support learning and behaviour, and promote the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities

Providing consistent one-to-one support for a pupil with SEN

Supporting learning activities in line with individual support plans or EHCPs

Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and support staff

Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

Adhering to safeguarding policies and school procedures

Requirements
To be considered for the role of 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Prior experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Experience providing one-to-one support in a primary school setting
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Right to work in the UK
- DBS on the update service
