Smart Teachers are recruiting for an ambitious and experienced Head of Design Technology & Engineering to join a forward-thinking secondary school in East London on a permanent basis.
About the role
- Leading and developing the Design Technology & Engineering department
- Teaching across KS3–KS5, including GCSE and A-level (where applicable)
- Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement
- Using data effectively to monitor progress and implement targeted interventions
- Developing and implementing an ambitious and engaging curriculum
- Line managing staff and supporting their professional development
- Contributing to whole-school improvement and strategic planning

Requirements
To be considered for the role of DT/Engineering Teacher you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching Design Technology or a related subject in a secondary setting
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment
- Commitment to high expectations and inclusive education
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Suitable teaching experience
