DT/Engineering Teacher

Smart Teachers are recruiting for an ambitious and experienced Head of Design Technology & Engineering to join a forward-thinking secondary school in East London on a permanent basis.

About the role

• Leading and developing the Design Technology & Engineering department
• Teaching across KS3–KS5, including GCSE and A-level (where applicable)
• Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement
• Using data effectively to monitor progress and implement targeted interventions
• Developing and implementing an ambitious and engaging curriculum
• Line managing staff and supporting their professional development
• Contributing to whole-school improvement and strategic planning

Requirements

To be considered for the role of DT/Engineering Teacher you will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching Design Technology or a related subject in a secondary setting
• Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment
• Commitment to high expectations and inclusive education

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
