Smart Teachers are recruiting on behalf of a high-performing secondary school in Haringey for a passionate and committed English Teacher to join their team
About the role
- Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available for suitable candidates)
- Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum and exam specifications
- Supporting students to achieve strong outcomes in GCSE English
- Using assessment data to inform planning, intervention, and targeted support
- Contributing to departmental resources, schemes of work, and curriculum development
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, progress, and academic achievement

Requirements
To be considered for the role of English Teacher you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
- Ability to teach engaging lessons that inspire a love of reading and writing
- Understanding of effective assessment and feedback strategies
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
