We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our pool of supply staff supporting schools across Romford. This full-time position offers the flexibility of daily supply cover as well as the opportunity for long-term placements.
About the role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to teachers and pupils throughout the school day. You will assist with lesson delivery, work with small groups or individual students, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This role is well suited to those who enjoy variety, can adapt quickly, and are committed to maintaining high standards of support across different year groups.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting teaching staff with lesson preparation and delivery

Working with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups

Assisting in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere

Helping to adapt activities to meet the needs of individual learners

Contributing to the overall safety, care, and development of pupils

Communicating effectively with teachers, support staff, and, when required, parents
Requirements

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role

A patient, proactive, and supportive approach

Strong communication and organisational skills

Flexibility to work across different classes and year groups

Relevant qualifications or training are desirable but not essential
