We are seeking dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supply team from January 2026. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and who are looking for flexible working arrangements.
About the role
As an SEN TA on supply, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to assist pupils with varying needs, including learning difficulties, communication challenges, and social, emotional or behavioural needs. You may work on a one-to-one basis or support small groups, adapting your approach to ensure each pupil can fully access the curriculum. This role offers variety, professional growth and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in multiple learning environments.
Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with special educational needs in line with personalised targets and support plans.

Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities.

Help maintain a positive, inclusive and structured learning environment.

Provide one-to-one or small group support, adapting strategies to individual needs.

Promote pupils’ confidence, independence and engagement in learning.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
