We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Greenwich from September 2026. This is a part-time position (3 days per week), ideal for a teacher looking for a flexible working arrangement while still making a meaningful impact in the classroom.
About the role
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons
- Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress
- Creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Contributing to the wider English department and curriculum development
- Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
This role is offered on a part-time basis (3 days per week), with flexibility on which days are worked.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of English Teacher you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Paid to scale (MPS/UPS), depending on experience.
