We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our NTAP (National Teaching Assistant Programme) pathway, supporting both primary and secondary schools across Bexley. About the role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, both in and out of the classroom. You may work 1:1 with students, support small groups, or assist with whole-class activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting students with a range of abilities and learning needs
- Assisting in the delivery of engaging lessons
- Promoting positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment
- Providing additional support for students with SEN where required
- Helping to prepare classroom materials and resources
This role offers flexibility, with opportunities for day-to-day, long-term, and potential permanent placements.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- No formal teaching qualification required (full training provided through NTAP)
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable (e.g. tutoring, coaching, youth work, childcare)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) preferred
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
