Learning Support Assistant
This lovely community school are on the search for a full-time Learning Support Assistant to work with a young boy with Challenging Behaviour who has recently been diagnosed with autism.
About the role
With this position in mind, your role as a Learning Support Assistant will certainly be centred around the school's unique and innovative ethos. You will be spending allocated time within the classroom as an Learning Support Assistant, but will also provide hours of 1:1 tuition and learning time in the classroom's intervention area. Whilst a particular focus will surround attainment levels with the child, your role is based on Nurturing and behaviour provision on a more social & emotional level - and will include working closely with the SENCO and the school's fabulous senior leadership group!

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant you will:
- Have experience providing specialist support to children with autism and challenging behaviour
- Have experience working 1:1 and in small groups
- Have experience liaising with parents and SENCO on the child’s progress
- Have experience working with children within a primary school
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- SEN experience
